We are inviting you to participate in the First International Anti-Ageing Conference “Longevity and Life Quality Medicine”.

Medicine of longevity and quality of life presents a new point of view at health services in general. At present, developed countries demonstrate similar tendencies of decreasing birth rate and increasing life expectancy. Modern lifestyle demands personal mobility, vitality and youthful thinking. Ageing and old age have become, as never before, serious obstacles in career growth, essentially reducing quality of a life.

Until recent time the medicine has basically concentrated on uncovering the already available illnesses and treatment of already obviously sick people. On the contrary, longevity and life quality medicine is focused on a practically healthy person, paying main attention to an early diagnostics of hereditary diseases and age-related changes and preventive treatment. Longevity and life quality medicine is really aimed at protection of health.

Gradual withering of a human body is accompanied by changes of the hormonal status, infringements of metabolism, blood supply and other displays. The complex approach to this problem enables to investigate ageing mechanisms in more depth and, therefore, provide a more rational treatment ensuring, finally, partial or full restoration of the processes that prolong a youthful state of an organism. The aim of longevity and life quality medicine is to uncover the vital resources of an individual and exploit them to prolong an active-maturity phase.

Only close cooperation between dermatocosmetologists and aesthetic surgeons with gerontologists, dieticians, flebologists, endocrinologists, andrologists, urologists, gynecologists, cardiologists, oncologists and a number of other experts can provide an optimal final result.

During the last decade dermatocosmetologists and aesthetic surgeons are diligently engaged in correction of external displays of involution processes. In particular, this treatment address those patients, who are active in their wish of not growing old. However, to simply eliminate the visible aesthetic defects is already unsatisfactory both for a patient and a doctor. So as a result longevity and life quality medicine has become so popular in these branches of medicine. In any case, the number of conferences, congresses and symposiums on anti-ageing medicine, organized and spent by experts of aesthetic medicine worldwide is steadily growing.

The increasing number of doctors representing other areas of medicine is invited to take part in such actions.

Russia is no exception. It is quite obvious, that it is high time to conduct a large anti-ageing conference in our country.

The First International Anti-Ageing conference is a first serious attempt to present, within a framework of one event, Russian and foreign studies, research and medical experience connected with ageing problems, early diagnostics and diagnosis of concomitant diseases.

The session “Complex approach to women’s health after 40» is prepared together with the “Menopause association” headed by Prof. V. P. Smetnik. At this session there will be reports of foreign specialists as well as speeches of Russian gynecologists-endocrinologists.

At the Conference a lot of time will be devoted to special features of ageing and replaceable hormonotherapy for men. This topic has recently drawn a lot of attention in the West. This session is prepared in cooperation with Russian andrologists.

Experts in cardiology and oncology will deliver lectures of educational character on early diagnostics and revealing of atherosclerotic defeats, oncological risks and other illnesses which are especially dangerous during the hormonal reorganizations in the growing old human. They will emphasize differences and the specificity connected to sexual differentiation.

Equally interesting reports on a problem of gradual loss of cognitive brain functions, frustration of dream and correction of observable conditions will be presented.

Such topics as a metabolic syndrome, its origins and consequences; evolution of fatty hypodermic tissues and women’s cellulites; scientific dietetics; rational use of nutrients and microelements in diet have already become traditional on such forums, and ours, of course, will not be an exception.

We would like to draw your special attention to the session “ Conceptual approach to ageing problem. Future of longevity and life quality medicine”. Invited speakers will discuss such topics as “what differs an anti-ageing clinic from other ones”, “how to conduct anti-age consultations for men and women” and other questions.

And, of course, the issue of skin ageing will not be forgotten. However, in contrast with the IY International Symposium on aesthetic medicine, where most attention will be paid to the treatment of skin, our anti-ageing conference will mostly be devoted to abeyance of involution processes degradation of skin tissues from inside.

The aim of the conference is to link specialists from different fields from all over the world, to help them in joining their efforts in establishing the common standards that will in future be used in a still young branch of medicine – the longevity and life quality medicine.
