1. DYSMORPHOMANIA AND DYSMORPHOPHOBIA
CLNIICAL MANIFESTATIONS, DIAGNOSIS, PROGNOSIS

M. Kachayeva

The article is dedicated to the important problem related to the diagnosis of mental disorders resulting from inadequate perception of appearance by the patient. This problem is commonly encountered by psychiatrists and aesthetic medicine specialists, who are often the first to deal with such patients. The author outlines the criteria for differential diagnosis of a normal patient’s reaction when he or she is discontented with his/her appearance or a real physical defect and morbid reaction (dysmorphophobia and dysmorphomania), which will help physicians in the timely diagnosis of this mental disorder. Screening questionnaire for an easy diagnosis of this condition is introduced.

2. SCABIES
I. Chistyakova and E. Kindeeva

Scabies has various clinical presentations. The main symptom of the disease is itching that is worse in the evening and at night. In practice, difficulties frequently emerge in diagnosing the disease, when allergic dermatitis is diagnosed instead of scabies, and as a consequence antihistamines and corticosteroids are prescribed. Antiscabietic agents used for scabies treatment are efficient, moderate, easy-to-use, and lead to full recovery if properly administered.

3. FUNCTIONAL APPROACH TO ETIOLOGY, PATHOGENESIS AND TREATMENT OF ACNE
A. Primak

Acne is a chronic disease resulting from genetic and environmental factors, such as improper nutrition, toxic effects, chronic stress, etc. Unfavorable combination of these factors leads to systemic functional imbalance (e.g., predominant androgenic effect, detoxication disorders, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, activation of pituitary-hypothalamic-adrenal axis, systemic inflammation. Systemic imbalance, in turn, results in dermal disorders – seborrhea, follicular hyperkeratosis, sebaceous gland inflammation – and promotes active reproduction of Propionibacterium acnes, which results in acne formation. Treatment of acne should include several methods affecting all etiological factors and pathogenesis of the disease.

4. COMBINATION TREATMENT OF TELOGENIC ALOPECIA
M. Khaldina

The article reviews combination pathogenetic therapy of chronic telogenic alopecia: topical shampoo and masks preventing hair loss, mesotherapy and oral administration of pantovigar (hair follicle metabolism inductor). The 5-month results of follow-up and therapy are presented. The treatment effect was evaluated using «Trichoscience» program (including the number of anagenic hair, mean hair diameter, hair density per 1 cm²), hair tension test and patient’s assessment (in points). The treatment effect was shown to be highest when all these modalities were used in combination.

5. STRUCTURE, PROPERTIES AND CLINICAL USE OF HYALURONIC ACID. NEW MODIFICATION OF HYALURONIC ACID – АСР ETHER
O. Grisho

Hyaluronic acids (HA, hyaluronan) – a material of choice in the production of biocmompatible and biodegradable polymers. HA ethers extend the time the polymer remains in the tissue while preserving its biological activity. The article describes the synthesis of an internal HA ether using АСР technology, outlines the drug properties and the new class of biomaterials – HYAFF membranes based on ethers of HA and various alcohols.

6. AN UNCONVENTIONAL TYPE OF ВТХА IN PATIENT OVER 50 YEARS OF AGE
(AUTHOR’S EXPERIENCE)
V. Zolotareva

The article reviews the author’s experience with BTXA in patient over 50 years of age with particular emphasis on indications and contraindications, analysis of adverse events and possible complications. The technique of administration depending on the correction zone, skin properties and type of wrinckles is demonstrated.

7. DIETARY FIBERS: NEW VIEW ON WELL-FORGOTTEN THINGS
Е. Nikitina

One of major issues of nutrition of modern people is a low share of dietary fibers in the menu. Nutrition adjustment due to add of products or bio supplements, rich in dietary fibers, may have beneficial effect on metabolic process, prevent or reduce progression of certain endocrine, cardiovascular and gastroenterology diseases.

8. AGE-RELATED CHANGES OF FACE MEASURED WITH PHOTOGRAMMETRIC METHODS
A. Guryanov, V. Knyaz

The article describes the development of a photogrammetric system for contactless measurement and the first results of its application in plastic surgery for the diagnosis of age-related ptosis of facial soft tissues. The three-dimensional models obtained using this system may be assessed visually or with special software. The new system of three-dimensional modeling of facial surface ensures high precision of measurement of critical facial areas and has convenient interface. Computer modeling may significantly simplify the physician’s work and the patient’s stress. The system is portable and requires no special facility. These facial models ensure high precision of measurements, photorealistic and clear visualization, as well as convenient way to document the results.
