The article describes the history of vitamin C discovery, outlines the phramacodynamic and pharmacokinetic aspects of its various forms, the interaction between the vitamin and microelements or pharmaceutical preparations, presents new data on the potentiation of vitamin C activity and the dose-related effects. The author also describes the role of vitamin C in adolescents, consequences of vitamin deficiency, indications to use and practical guidelines.

HIGH-FREQUENCY ULTRASOUND SCANNING OF SKIN IN DERMATOLOGY AND COSMETOLOGY

High frequency (22-100 MHz) ultrasound scanning provides two- and three-dimensional images of epidermis, derma and subcutaneous tissue in vivo. High resolution allows to distinguish structures up to 8-72 μm in size. The results of ultrasound scanning are used to monitor changes of skin morphology caused by an illness or age, as well as to assess the efficacy therapies in dermatology, cosmetology and plastic surgery.

Elongation of fibers and different implantation technique allow for improvement of flaccid tissues around eyebrows, cheeks, neck. ANTERIOR NECK LIFTING
Authors introduce a novel technique of rejuvenation of cervicomental angle and the middle portion of neck, named the anterior neck lifting. The article briefly describes stages of the procedure (marking, anesthesia, neck liposuction, Z-shaped repair of the anterior muscular edges (platysma). Postoperative care recommendations are given. Documentary photographs are provided for some clinical cases.
OUTPATIENT MEDICAL RECORDS AS AN IMPORTANT SOURCE OF RELIABLE INFORMATION
